CleanSnapAI (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a photo and video storage cleanup app for iPhone and iPad, developed by Tech Verticks LLC (“the developer”). This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your information. The short version: your photos and videos are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded.
When you grant Photos access, CleanSnapAI scans your photo library on your device to find duplicate, similar, and blurry photos, screenshots, RAW photos, Live Photos, bursts, and large or heavy videos, and to compress videos. All of this analysis — including thumbnail generation, perceptual hashing, Vision feature prints, on-device text recognition (OCR) of screenshots, and face-quality scoring — runs locally on your device.
We never upload, transmit, sell, or share your photos, videos, thumbnails, OCR text, face data, or any analysis derived from your media. This data never leaves your device and is never sent to us or to any third party.
There is no login, no sign-up, and no user profile. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
The app never deletes or modifies anything automatically. You review and confirm every deletion, and iOS shows its own confirmation before any item is removed. Deleted items move to the Photos “Recently Deleted” album and can be recovered for approximately 30 days. When you compress a video, the app saves and verifies the compressed copy before offering to remove the original.
If you buy a subscription or the lifetime option, the purchase is handled by Apple’s App Store and by our payments provider, RevenueCat, Inc., which validates your purchase and manages your access to premium features. For this purpose, the following is processed off-device:
We do not send RevenueCat (or anyone) your name, email, device advertising identifier (IDFA), or any of your photos or media. We do not link your purchases to your real-world identity. Apple processes your actual payment under Apple’s own privacy policy. RevenueCat processes purchase data under its privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
This version of the app ships without any third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK. If we add privacy-safe analytics in the future, it will be limited to aggregate counts and storage-size estimates (for example, “a scan completed”, “N items were cleaned”, “X bytes estimated freed”) — and never the content of your photos, videos, text, faces, file names, or any personal identifier. We will update this policy and our App Store privacy disclosures before enabling any such collection.
We do not track you across other apps or websites, we do not use advertising identifiers, and we do not show ads. We do not present the App Tracking Transparency prompt because we do not track.
Scan results and caches are stored on your device and are under your control; deleting the app removes them. Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained per their respective policies.
The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because we do not collect personal information about you on our servers, there is generally no personal data for us to access, correct, or delete. For questions, contact us at the address below. Purchase-related requests can be directed to Apple (App Store) or managed in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
We may update this policy; we will revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or on this page.
